Two boys were arguing when the teacher entered the room.
The teacher says, "Why are you arguing?"
One boy answers, "We found a ten dollar bill and decided to give it to whoever tells the biggest lie."
"You should be ashamed of yourselves," said the teacher, "When I was your age I didn't even know what a lie was."
The boys gave the ten dollars to the teacher!!!!!
,Dear TEFL students
A couple of days ago, I was thinking of a way to appreciate the effort some of you have recently been putting into the activities of your association, and particularly this blog. I mean a gift or something. And I came to the conclusion that nothing can be more pleasing to the students than some extra points to their final score. Therefore, I hereby officially announce that those who make considerable and efficient contribution to the blog and other extracurricular activities that are in line with our educational purposes will receive at least 0.5 and at most 2 (depending on the quantity and quality of the contribution!) added points to the final score of one of the courses .they have with me in each semester
Comments and questions are welcomed!

Now that you have read “Charles”, you may want to check your comprehension of the story. Here’s a link where you can find multiple-choice questions on the story. If you answer the question correctly, a smile will appear next to the chosen option. In case it is wrong, an X will be displayed. I gave it a try !and found it interesting. Now it’s your turn

Don’t be shy! Say “thank you” to someone every day.
Here are some more ways to say “thank you” in English:
Thank you so much.
Thanks a bunch.
That’s perfect.
You’re too kind.
You’re the best.
You’re my saviour.
You’re an angel.
What would I do without you?
I owe you one.
I don’t know what to say. (Use if “thank you” seems too small.)
Thank you is not enough.
I really appreciate this/what you’ve done.
I can’t thank you enough.

Last time we were leaving the class, some students and I had a short discussion about ways to extend the activities of the society. Mr.Mousavi suggested "Online English Discussion". That is, volunteers can come together to talk inside a chatroom, virtual software, or instant messenger about a specific topic at a prearranged date and time. What do you think? Do you think it is practical and more important than that, is it efficient? Please share your point of view.
Easy is to get a place in someone’s address book
Difficult is to get a place in someone’s heart
Easy is to judge the mistakes of others
Difficult is to recognize our own mistakes
Easy is to talk without thinking
Difficult is to refrain the tongue
Easy is to hurt someone who loves us
Difficult is to heal the wound
A family of mice were surprised by a big cat. Father Mouse jumped and said, "Bow-wow!" The cat ran away. "What was that, Father?" asked Baby Mouse. "Well, son, that's why it's important to learn a second language."

Keep love in your heart. A life without it, is like a sunless garden when the flowers are dead. The consciousness of loving and being loved brings a warmth and richness to life that nothing else can bring
Oscar Wilde
You cannot control what happens to you, but you can control your attitude toward what happens to you, and in that, you will be mastering change rather than allowing it to master you.
Brian Tracy
The 13th day of the new year is called "Sizdah Bedar" and spent mostly outdoors. People will leave their homes to go to the parks or local plains for a festive picnic. It is a must to spend Sizdah Bedar in nature. This is called Sizdah Bedar and is the most popular day of the holidays among children because they get to play a lot! Also in this day, people throw the Sabze away, they believe Sabze should not stay in the house after "Sizdah Bedar". Iranians regard 13th day as a bad omen and believe that by going into the fields and parks they avoid misfortunes. It is also believed that unwed girls can wish for a husband by going into the fields and tying a knot between green shoots, symbolizing a marital bond.
