To accept or to agree?

Before an infinitive we usually use agree, not accept.

You can accept what is given or offered, but you agree when you think something is being done or has been done the way you consider appropriate and convenient for you.

 For example:

1) I agreed to buy flowers, but asked my friend to buy sweets and postcards for the girls of our student group.

 2) He didn't agree to surrender and kept on fighting till he was finally killed by them.

 3) If you don't agree with something suggested by your boss, do not hesitate to inform him about it.

You need to accept our rules no matter how tough they are.

 1) Do you accept his permanent drunkenness or you want to combat it and help him get rid of this habit?

 2) I accept his terms, but I don't agree to sign any documents until we meet in private.
