 I am really glad that I have been granted the honors of joining English Language Faculty as the teacher of Introduction to Literature 1 and of becoming a member of Elsa Yazd as well

I had a tour in the weblog and enjoyed reading your beautiful and useful writings. I’d like to start my contribution to it by inviting you to read one of Emily Dickenson’s most beautiful and much anthologized short poems. Hope you will enjoy it

Not In Vain

If I can stop one heart from breaking,
I shall not live in vain:
If I can ease one life the aching,
Or cool one pain,
Or help one fainting robin
Unto his nest again,
I shall not live in vain.

Emily Dickinson (1830–1886) is an American poet. Though virtually unknown in her lifetime, Dickinson has come to be regarded, along with Walt Whitman, as one of the two quintessential American poets of the 19th century
